OPEX ry, or more commonly “OPEX”, is a subject organization for the students of the Turku unit’s teacher department in the University of Turku.

The priority of OPEX is to work for its members benefits on the national and international level, especially the ones concerning studying, social and cultural manner. In order to achieve these goals OPEX is operated by a ten-member-board, which is yearly voted by the members of OPEX.

Other important role of OPEX is to organize for its members various leisure activities, such as excursions, sports, cultural events, social evenings and parties. OPEX is also one of the biggest and most active members of SOOL (Teacher Student Union of Finland), whose aim is, nationally and internationally, to maintain the benefits and relations of OPEX.
